The Kranzberg

Black Box, Studio, and Gallery

Our Mission

Consisting of four distinct spaces: a black box theater; a studio performance space; and an intimate gallery, The Kranzberg hosts a plethora of performances, exhibitions, and events (both public and private) throughout the year.

The Black Box Theater

Able to seat up to 100 people, the black box theatre is a flexible venue easily able to be customized to host countless creative and artistic endeavors including plays, concerts, fashion shows, or pop-up night clubs. With its state-of-the-art lighting and sound system, plush theater seating, and artist amenities, the black box theatre ensures any performance will earn rave reviews.

The Studio

The studio is a beautiful room that seats up to 90 people in a cabaret-style setting and is equipped with a piano, theatrical lights, professional sound, and A/V projection equipment. This multi-purpose room is used most frequently for intimate concerts, but also for film screenings, private parties and corporate events.

The Gallery

The Gallery at The Kranzberg supports and showcases outstanding relevant works from a diverse range in the St. Louis community. In collaboration with area nonprofits, artists, and educators, the gallery challenges established concepts of what art is and does, and engages with the community in new and meaningful ways. This spirit of innovation, experimentation, and community make The Gallery at The Kranzberg one of the premier visual arts destinations in the Midwest.
